Why choose termiturf?
The best people to answer that are our previous happy clients, why not have a look at some of their responses. We also insist on using quality trades people when installing your new lush lawn, followed by an independent quality inspection to ensure you are happy with the results. Our installers ensure that the project is left clean and tidy upon completion, we don’t want anything to detract from that beautiful soft finish.
What about my pets?
Well for starters, no more prickles and grass seeds to groom out of their coat. As for any mess, firstly clean up any excess as you would a traditional lawn area and then simply spray the soiled area with a hose and brush the area as necessary. As man’s best friend likes to dig, all joints are sealed and the structure plus the uniformity of your new termiturf lawn should discourage this. The quality designed backing has accurately measured perforations which allow for drainage, this obviously helps eliminate any nasty odours and yellowing you would get with a seeded or instant lawn.
Is Termiturf suitable for commercial use?
With ongoing water restrictions and more and more people looking at cost effective ways to landscape their garden, we see the need for innovative, cost effective solutions to help not only the residential market but also the commercial market place, by enhancing their design with Eco – Friendly Termiturf to soften the impact visually and environmentally.
There is no need to ever water, fertilise and mow again, think of the savings. Any rain water simply perculates through the perforated backing. If you have the opportunity, what a great time to install that underground soakage system or tank, utilising what nature has given us. Preventing waste run off into already polluted eco systems and as you’re not fertilising, no nasty chemicals leaching into the waterways.
How does it get installed?
We will need to visit your home and look at any special requirements specific to your yard but generally if there is existing dead lawn, this will need to be removed and a compacted rubble base installed. It is then held in place with a special adhesive and topped with paving sand.
Check out the Installation page for more detailed information.
Okay, so what about the ongoing maintenance?
This is the best part, unlike the lawn you may have just replaced, you no longer need to fertilise, mow, edge or most importantly water. We would recommend an occasional “brushing” or “brooming” but this is subject to how you want your new lawn to look. This brushing will help stand up the fibres, so the amount of brushing will depend on the look you prefer. Any debris for instance from surrounding trees can easily be removed with a leaf rake or blower-vac.
Do I have to worry about drainage and surface water?
Think of your new lawn as an alternative to a large paved area, where previously the pavers would let the water drain off into your garden bed or better yet a storage tank. This same principle still applies but added to this, as like the joins between the pavers, the backing of the turf is perforated allowing water to also drain down through the termiturf. If installing yourself it is important to get the substrate right otherwise you end up with hollows and areas which can accumulate water and other nasty surprises.
Sounds great but what about the warranty?
Our team at Termiturf understand that no matter how good our turf looks now, what is important is how good it looks in years to come. You have peace of mind knowing that Termiturf is backed by an outstanding product warranty that protects you against premature breakdown, ripping or fading. Of course your new turf must be installed in accordance with written & approved installation guidelines. For this reason we would recommend you talk with one of our team to advise what is best for you and your individual needs. (conditions apply)
